New Anime 'Flower and Asura' Premieres with English Dub Streaming
Anime fans, rejoice! The highly anticipated series Flower and Asura (originally titled Hana wa Saku, Shura no Gotoku) made its debut on January 7 during the winter anime season. The show is based on the manga by writer Ayano Takeda and artist Musshu.

Streaming Details
- HIDIVE announced that it will begin streaming an English dub of the anime starting July 16.

Plot Overview
Set on the small island of Tonakishima, with just 600 residents, the story follows Hana, a high school girl passionate about recitals. She regularly hosts reading sessions for local children. When Mizuki, the president of the island's Broadcasting Club, notices Hana's ability to attract people through her readings, she invites her to join the club. Hana's new journey with the club introduces her to many firsts and new experiences.
Manga Origins
The manga was launched in June 2021 in Shueisha's Ultra Jump magazine by Takeda and Musshu. The first volume was published in January 2022, with the eighth volume released on January 17. The ninth volume is scheduled for release on August 19.
