What is Petals of Reincarnation?
The manga follows Tōya Senji, a high school student who excels academically but feels average compared to his overachieving older brother. He longs to stand out and become special. His life changes when he reconnects with Haito La Buffet, a former classmate he considers exceptionally talented.
Haito reveals that she used a "branch of reincarnation" to inherit her past life talents—she was Miyamoto Musashi, the legendary swordsman. This makes her a Returner, someone reincarnated with their previous life’s abilities. Haito also warns Tōya that there are other Returners, each with their own ambitious plans.
Series Background
- The manga was launched by Mikihisa Konishi in Mag Garden's Comic Blade magazine in May 2014.
- After the magazine ceased publication, the series moved online in September 2014.

- The anime adaptation was announced in August 2024 as part of the series' 10th anniversary celebrations.
Production and Partnerships
