Exciting News: Anime Adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa's Daemons of the Shadow Realm
During Crunchyroll's Anime Expo panel on Saturday, Studio Bones announced a new anime adaptation of Daemons of the Shadow Realm (Yomi no Tsugai), a manga by renowned creator Hiromu Arakawa. Fans can look forward to streaming the series on Crunchyroll, which also unveiled a trailer and visual for the upcoming show.

About the Manga
Daemons of the Shadow Realm is published in English by Square Enix Manga & Books. The story is set in a remote mountain village watched over by stone guardians, where young Yuru lives peacefully with his twin sister, Asa. However, Asa is imprisoned, carrying out a mysterious duty, raising questions about the village's secrets and Yuru's true home.

Arakawa launched the manga in December 2021 in Square Enix's Monthly Shonen Gangan. The ninth volume was published on March 12, with the tenth scheduled for July 11.

Best known for her Fullmetal Alchemist and Silver Spoon manga, Arakawa's Fullmetal Alchemist ran from 2001 to 2010 and inspired multiple anime adaptations, films, and live-action versions.
