The anime adaptation of Tatsurō Suga's beloved manga, The Catcher in the Ballpark!, has announced new cast members for its upcoming series, set to premiere on April 1.

Premiere Details
The Catcher in the Ballpark! will debut on TV Tokyo and five affiliated channels at 24:00 JST (which is effectively April 2 at midnight JST or April 1 at 11:00 a.m. EDT). The series will also air on AT-X and BS NTV, while streaming on Japanese platforms like ABEMA, Lemino, and Anime Times before being available on other services.
Plot Overview
The story revolves around Murata, an office worker who forms a unique bond with Ruriko, a beer vendor with a gyaru appearance. Despite Ruriko's cold demeanor towards Murata, her sweet side emerges when he is not around.

Production Team
The anime is directed by Jun'ichi Kitamura (Fluffy Paradise) and produced by EMT Squared. The series scripts are written by Shigeru Murakoshi (The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse), with character designs by Fumio Iida (Record of Ragnarok) and music composed by MONACA (NieR:Automata Ver 1.1a).
Genic will be performing the opening theme song titled “Hurray!!”.
Tatsurō Suga's manga debuted in Kodansha's Morning magazine back in September 2020. The publisher has recently released the 15th compiled volume of the manga on November 21, with the 16th volume scheduled for March 21.
