The popular webtoon The Hooligans, created by renowned artist Tae-ho Yoon, is experiencing a significant boost in popularity. This surge is largely driven by the success of its live-action adaptation, Low Life.

According to Kakao Entertainment, on July 22, the weekly view count of The Hooligans on Kakao Webtoon increased approximately 58 times from the third week of June (June 16-22) to the third week of July (July 14-20). During the same period, sales skyrocketed 26 times, indicating a renewed and strong interest in the series.

About the Story

Set in a coastal village near Sinan, Low Life follows a group of local residents who are both greedy and earnest. They stumble upon a rumor about a sunken treasure ship, sparking a series of schemes, clashes, and collaborations as they chase buried fortune.
