New Hunter x Hunter Fighting Game Announced with Exciting Details
Game Launches on July 17, 2024, with a Promising Future of Characters
Bushiroad and Eighting have unveiled a new 2D, 3v3 fighting game based on the beloved manga Hunter x Hunter by Yoshihiro Togashi. The game was officially released on July 17 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam worldwide.
What’s New in the Game?
The game features characters from the Hunter x Hunter universe, including Gon, Killua, Leorio, Kurapika, Hisoka, Netero, Bisky, Machi, Uvogin, Chrollo, Feitan, Meruem, Genthru, Razor, Morel, and Kite.
The first season pass will introduce Nephelpito this fall, with three additional characters arriving in winter 2025, spring 2026, and summer 2026.
A new trailer teases upcoming characters like Phinks Magcub, Shizuku Murasaki, and Zeno Zoldyck through silhouettes.

Technical Details
The game supports multiple languages: Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
Future updates will add German, Italian, French, Spanish, and Korean.
Rollback netcode is available on PlayStation 5 and Steam, but cross-platform play is not supported.

The game is published outside Japan by Arc System Works.
Unfortunately, cross-platform multiplayer is not available.
Background on Hunter x Hunter
The manga debuted in 1998 in Weekly Shonen Jump by Shueisha.
It has inspired two anime series, two films, several OVAs, and stage plays.
The latest volume, the 38th, was published on September 4, 2024.
The manga went on hiatus in January 2023 due to Togashi’s health but resumed with a new chapter on October 7.
