Update on Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road Delay and New Features
Level 5 announced a delay for their upcoming game, Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road. Originally scheduled for release in August, the game is now set to launch on November 14. The delay is primarily due to voice recording and multilingual translation efforts, including English, with plans to enhance overall quality during this period.
New Video Preview and Features
The latest video offers a sneak peek into Chronicle Mode, which allows players to relive matches from throughout the series. The preview features a match between Raimon and Royal Academy.
Key Highlights:
- Over 50,000 voiced lines from more than 250 voice actors in the Japanese version.
- An English dub will be available, though with fewer voiced lines.
- Planned improvements include:
- Slowing down gameplay for easier playability
- UI display adjustments
- Enhanced defense mechanics
As a gesture of apology, all players will receive a bonus item for their Bond Towns.
Release Details and Platform Changes
The game was initially scheduled for release on August 21 in English and August 22 in Japanese across platforms like Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. However, it has been delayed to November.
Notably, the game will no longer be released for iOS and Android but will now be available on Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S.
Game Features and Story
Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road introduces several new features:
- Commander Mode: An alternative to Manual Mode, allowing strategic commands for players who prefer less action-focused gameplay.
- Abilearn Board: Customize characters' traits and abilities.
- Bond Link: Set and manage relationships between characters.
- Bond Town: Create your own avatar and explore the world of the series.
The story follows Unmei Sasanami, a young boy who initially wishes for a world without soccer, and his journey to meet Haru Endo, a soccer expert. The game features over 4,500 characters from the series.
Development History and Future Releases
The game was first planned for summer 2018 under the title Inazuma Eleven: Ares no Tenbin for PS4, Switch, iOS, and Android. It was later renamed Inazuma Eleven: Eiyū-tachi no Great Road before adopting its current title.
A remake of the original Inazuma Eleven titled Inazuma Eleven RE is scheduled for release in 2026 on Switch, PS5, PS4, and PC via Steam.
