Jack O'Connell Joins the Cast of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire Sequel
Entertainment news source The Hollywood Reporter announced on Wednesday that actor Jack O'Connell, known for his roles in Unbroken and Ferrari, will be joining the cast of the upcoming sequel to Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. This film is part of the Monsterverse franchise created by Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment.

O'Connell's Role
O'Connell will portray the brother of Kaitlyn Dever's character in the film. Dever's casting was also confirmed, and she is set to play a significant role alongside O'Connell. Additionally, Dan Stevens will reprise his role as Trapper, the monster veterinarian, from the previous installment.
Direction and Release
The sequel will be directed by Grant Sputore, known for his work on I Am Mother.
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire opened in the United States in March 2024, earning an impressive $80 million during its opening weekend, making it the top film at the box office.
