The Story of Sugar Sugar Rune
Udon Entertainment describes the manga as follows:
In the Magical World, the future queen is chosen by selecting two young witches and sending them to the Human World, where they compete to win the hearts of boys. The one who collects the most by the end of the contest becomes the queen.
The current generation's candidates are best friends Vanilla Mieux and Chocolat Meilleure—daughters of the reigning queen and her former rival. Guided by their mentor, pop idol witch Rockin' Robin, and their animal familiars Blanca the mouse and Duke the frog, they face not only their competition but also mysterious threats, including a strange boy named Pierre who resembles the evil king Glace—and seems to be after Chocolat.
Amidst magic and rivalry, the girls must fight to keep their friendship alive.
