Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory / Premature Death Breaks Box Office Records
The latest film from the popular anime series 'Jujutsu Kaisen' has made a strong impression at the box office!
Impressive Opening Weekend
The compilation film of the "Hidden Inventory / Premature Death" arc earned US$2,551,167 during its two-day screening in the United States.
The film was released in theaters by GKIDS on July 16 and 17, showing in both subtitled and English-dubbed versions.
On July 16, it ranked at #4 with US$1,344,162, and on July 17, it moved to #5 with US$1,207,005.
International Release and Future Screenings
Crunchyroll announced that the film will also be shown in select territories including France, Germany, the U.K., Latin America, and Australia this summer.
The film will be available in both Japanese with subtitles and dubbed formats. Exact release dates are yet to be announced.
Japanese Box Office Success
The film opened in Japan on May 30, debuting at #4 in its opening weekend.
It sold 138,000 tickets and earned approximately 198.3 million yen (around US$1.36 million) in just three days.
Music and Season Details
The theme song, an acoustic version of "Ao no Sumika" performed by Tatsuya Kitani, was featured in the film.
The second season of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime premiered in July 2023, covering arcs like "Hidden Inventory / Premature Death" and the "Shibuya Incident".
The season aired for two cours (quarters of a year) and was streamed by Crunchyroll, including an English dub.
