Crunchyroll Brings "JUJUTSU KAISEN Hidden Inventory / Premature Death" Movie to International Theaters
Select Territories Announced for Theatrical Release
Crunchyroll has announced at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival that it will be releasing the compilation film "JUJUTSU KAISEN Hidden Inventory / Premature Death" in select regions. Fans in France, Germany, the U.K., Latin America, and Australia can look forward to the movie hitting theaters this summer.

About the Compilation Film
Crunchyroll describes the film as:

Now, time goes further back to (Spring) 2006, when Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto were still high school students. Both were active as Jujutsu Sorcerers with no enemy to match them. Their mission: escort and erase the Star Plasma Vessel, Riko Amanai, a girl key to Jujutsu society. But the Sorcerer Killer Fushiguro interferes, intent on assassinating the Star Plasma Vessel. The past that split Gojo and Geto will finally be revealed."
Film's Success in Japan
- The movie debuted in Japan on May 30, ranking #4 during its opening weekend.
- It sold 138,000 tickets and grossed 198,332,500 yen (approximately US$1.36 million) in its first three days.
Music and Anime Details
- Tatsuya Kitani performed an acoustic version of "Ao no Sumika" as the film's theme song, originally used as the anime’s second season opening.
- The second season premiered in July 2023, running for two cours (quarters of a year) with a continuous half-year schedule.
- Both the "Hidden Inventory / Premature Death" arc and the "Shibuya Incident" arc were adapted.
- Crunchyroll streamed the season and also provided an English dub upon release.
North American Release
- GKIDS has acquired the anime and will debut the film in U.S. theaters on July 16.
- The movie will be available in both subtitled and English-dubbed formats for U.S. viewers.
