Korean Webtoons Shine Globally: Showcase Coming to Canada in September

A global tour of Korean webtoons is underway, bringing the vibrant world of digital comics from Asia to audiences around the world. From July to October 2025, the K-Comics World exhibition will visit five countries—Egypt, Hungary, Canada, China, and Japan—aiming to boost international awareness of Korean webtoons.
Tour Highlights
- Start: July 1 in Cairo, Egypt, at the Korean Cultural Center
- Featured Series: Hellbound, a hit series by Sang-ho Yeon and Gyu-seok Choi, which was adapted into a Netflix original live-action series.
- Special Event: A “Meet the Artist” session with Choi for local fans.
- Duration in Cairo: Until July 31

The exhibition will continue its journey to Budapest, Ottawa, and Shanghai, wrapping up in Osaka in October. Each location will showcase webtoons popular in that country, with tailored displays and immersive experiences.
