A gripping horror action manga featuring the trials of two siblings has come to an end. Kenshiro Sakamoto’s Crazy Sun saw its 17th and final chapter published on October 27, 2023, by GOT Corporation on its Comic MeDu website.

On the same day, Sakamoto announced via X (formerly Twitter) that the series will be getting a compiled digital volume release. To mark this milestone, he also shared a special illustration celebrating the conclusion of the manga.

The Storyline
Crazy Sun follows the life of Taiyō, who struggles alongside his younger sister, Hinata. Despite their financial hardships, the siblings find joy in each other’s company. However, their peaceful existence is shattered when they are targeted by a sinister, insect-like creature every night. Just when they feel desperation closing in, a mysterious woman appears—leaving readers to wonder about her intentions toward the siblings.
Previous Works and Future Projects
Sakamoto is known for his previous work, Yūcha to Maō (The Brave and the Demon King), which ran from February 2021 until its conclusion in July 2023, with the final volume released in November 2023. He also created the spinoff Fairy Tail: Happy's Heroic Adventure, released in July 2018, which ended in April 2020 and is now being published in English by Kodansha USA Publishing.
Additionally, Kodansha USA is set to release Sakamoto's Pitch-Black Ten in English.
Sakamoto's latest project includes the collaboration with Kōta Kaedehara titled Hametsu Flag Kaihi no Tame Yamaoku e Hikikomotteita Saikyō no Akuyaku wa, Tasuketa Heroine ni Yotte Omote Butai e Tatasareru (The Strongest Villain Who Retreated Deep Into the Mountains to Avoid Ruin is Forced to Take Center Stage by the Heroine He Rescued), which debuted on December 24, 2023, in Akita Shoten's Dokodemo Young Champion magazine.
