Plot Overview
The manga delves into the terrifying tale of a group of students stranded on a deserted island, haunted by a relentless killer. Hokazono has been serializing this gripping narrative through LINE Manga, and its success has spawned a prequel and several spinoff mangas.
A Journey Since 2013
- Launch: The series first appeared on Takeshobo's Web Comic Manga platform in 2013.
- Resurgence: It resumed serialization on LINE Manga in 2019.
- Latest Volume: Last December, LINE released the 24th compiled volume of the original series.
Spin-offs and Adaptations
In addition to Kichikujima, Hokazono's work inspired the Kaoru no Taisetsu na Mono comedy spinoff anime, which premiered in November 2020.
Another spinoff, Koi Suru Kichikujima, created in collaboration with Ryū Horie, concluded with its second volume in January 2022.
Furthermore, Hokazono is known for serializing the Inugami manga in Kodansha's Afternoon magazine from 1996 to 2002, resulting in 14 volumes. A revamped version titled Inugami Kai followed, spanning 10 volumes, and is currently being published in English by Manga Planet.
