Kizuna Ai Makes a Triumphant Return with New Music Video
Kizuna Ai, the popular VTuber, has returned to the spotlight after a three-year hiatus, unveiling a new song and music video. The announcement was made on her A.I.Channel YouTube channel, exciting fans around the world.
New Music and Video Release
The new music video features her latest track titled "kamone" (Could Be). You can watch it here:
In addition to the music video, a re-introduction video was also released, complete with English subtitles, marking her comeback to the virtual stage.
Future Plans
In her re-introduction video, Kizuna Ai shared her plans to focus primarily on music, announcing that she will be releasing 10 songs throughout the year. The second song is set to drop on March 19, and she hinted at an upcoming concert as well.
A Legacy of Success
Kizuna Ai launched her YouTube channel in 2016 and quickly became a global sensation in the VTuber community. She has over 3 million subscribers on her main channel and more than 1.51 million on her gaming channel, A.I.Games. Her influence extends beyond YouTube, having appeared in various television programs and commercials.
In April 2020, it was confirmed that Nozomi Kasuga is the voice behind Kizuna Ai, as she took on an advisory role at Kizuna Ai Co., Ltd., a company formed from Activ8, her former talent agency.
Past Projects and Collaborations
Kizuna Ai has also voiced cameo roles in popular anime, including Ingress and Magical Girl Site, and performed theme songs for various projects like the Laidbackers movie.
In February 2022, she held her final concert titled "Kizuna Ai The Last Live 'hello, world 2022'" before going on an indefinite hiatus. This concert was part of a strategy to further develop her character and brand.
New Anime Series
Recently, Kizuna Ai has been featured in an anime project titled Kizuna no Allele, which premiered in April 2023 and is available for streaming on Crunchyroll. The series has already been renewed for a second season that will launch in October 2023.
