Disney+ Japan Unveils New Trailer for Gannibal Season 2
The official YouTube channel of Disney+ Japan recently released an exciting new video for the highly anticipated second live-action season of Gannibal, a horror manga by Masaaki Ninomiya. The trailer, unveiled on Thursday, features Yuri Tsunematsu in the role of a younger Gin Gotō and showcases flashback scenes critical to the storyline.
Key Character: Gin Gotō
Gin Gotō is a pivotal figure in Gannibal. The narrative kicks off with the discovery of her corpse, prompting protagonist Daigo Agawa to investigate peculiar teeth marks found on her body. In the first season, the character is portrayed by Mitsuko Baishō, who depicts an older Gin Gotō before her demise. Tsunematsu's portrayal will delve into Gin's earlier life, highlighting her rise to matriarch of the Gotō family.
Returning Cast and Crew
The second season promises to bring back the talented cast and crew from the first:
- Yuuya Yagira as Daigo Agawa
- Show Kasamatsu as Keisuke Gotō, the future head of the Gotō family
- Riho Yoshioka as Yuki Agawa, Daigo's wife
The series is directed again by Shinzo Katayama, with scripts penned by Takamasa Ōe. Teruhisa Yamamoto continues as the producer for this new season, which will exclusively premiere on Disney+ Japan.
