Plot Overview

The story centers on Scarlet, a powerful princess who travels across space and time to seek revenge. After her father, the king, is murdered, her attempt at vengeance fails. She wakes up in "The Land of the Dead", a chaotic realm filled with madness. In this place, those who do not fulfill their revenge become "nothing" and vanish. The film follows Scarlet’s relentless journey of vengeance and self-discovery.

Mamoru Hosoda is both directing and writing the screenplay, also credited for the original story. He emphasizes that the film will feature a completely new visual style, distinct from traditional 2D or Hollywood-style CGI.
