Toshio Sako Debuts New Boxing Manga on MANGA Plus

Sako's latest manga, 'Genikasuri,' is now available online!

Published by Shueisha, the manga service MANGA Plus added Toshio Sako's new boxing story, 'Genikasuri,' on Wednesday. The first 14 chapters are now available for readers to enjoy.

"After one fateful match, former professional boxer Ryo Harima awakens from a two-year vegetative state to find his career is over, his father has died, and he's been betrayed by his gym… Broken and fueled by rage, he vows to make it to the top of the boxing world, but this time as a promoter. Sako’s Previous Works

• Batuque: Began in 2018, ended in 2024 with 18 volumes.
• Sako initially launched 'Batuque' in Young Jump in July 2018, later moving it online in 2020.
• He also launched 'Usogui' in 2006, which comprises 49 volumes and inspired an original video animation and a live-action film.
• The 'Usogui' series saw various spinoffs, including the 2021 short 'Usogui: Tokubetsu-hen,' which ended in November 2021.
