The official website for Me and the Alien MuMu has unveiled exciting updates, including a new visual, a promotional video, and a premiere date for its second quarter of the season. The anime is set to debut on July 2.

Synopsis
Pony Canyon describes the story as follows:
A cat-like alien named Mu Mu arrives on Earth. He aims to learn about home appliance technology to recover what his species has lost. Sakurako, a typical university student, encounters Mu Mu, and their cohabitation sparks a series of chaotic, funny, and appliance-filled adventures. Their chemistry promises a super-spectacular, comedic journey across the galaxy and beyond.
Origins and Manga
- Miyashita first introduced Uchūjin MūMū as a one-shot in Young King Ours magazine in April 2019 before serialization began two months later.
- The manga's eighth volume was published on April 30.
Homage and Influences:
- The name Mu Mu pays homage to Mū, a magazine on paranormal topics referenced in anime like Weathering With You and Occultic;Nine.
Related Works:
- Miyashita teamed up with writer Takeshi Natsuhara to launch the Yakuza Reincarnation manga in Shogakukan's Sunday GX magazine in July 2019. The 17th volume was published on April 17.
- The manga is being released in English by Seven Seas Entertainment, with the 13th volume scheduled for July 1.
