Sayumi Suzushiro to Star as Lead in Upcoming Anime
Anime fans can look forward to a new adaptation in 2026. Mitsuru Hattori's manga "Wash it All Away" (Kirei ni Shite Moraemasu ka.) is set to receive an anime series produced by Okuru to Noboru, with Sayumi Suzushiro starring as the protagonist, Wakana Kinme.

About the Manga
Mitsuru Hattori launched the manga in Square Enix's Young Gangan magazine in July 2017 and concluded it in June 2023. The series finished with 10 compiled volumes. Interestingly, a new side story chapter will be released soon, keeping readers engaged even after the manga's conclusion. Six months after its original ending, Hattori also published an extra side story.

With an endearing protagonist and luscious art, this seaside slice-of-life story offers tranquility in the chaos of the modern world. For two years, Wakana Kinme has run a laundry service in the seaside resort town of Atami, where she's built a fulfilling life making friends with the locals and visiting hot springs. Although Wakana has no knowledge of her own past, her cleaning services safeguard memories imbued in customers' precious items.
Mitsuru Hattori's Other Works
- "Sankarea": A zombie comedy manga (2009-2014), which inspired a 2012 anime released by Funimation in North America. Kodansha Comics published the manga in English.
- "Kenko Zenrakei Suieibu Umisho": This manga also received a TV anime adaptation.
- "Imperfect Shojo": Hattori provided the art for the manga adaptation of NisiOisin's novel. Vertical released all three volumes in North America.
- "Kaiju-iro no Shima": Launched in 2018 in Kadokawa's Monthly Dragon Age magazine. Yen Press will release this series under the title "Monster-Colored Island".
