Second Mr. Osomatsu Live-Action Film Announced for Next Year
New Stage Play Scheduled for Summer
The staff behind the Mr. Osomatsu (Osomatsu-san) franchise announced on Wednesday that a second live-action film is set to premiere early next year. Alongside this, a new stage play, Osomatsu-san on Stage Six Men's Show Time 2nd Season 2, will open next summer as part of the franchise's second stage production season.
New Cast Lineup
The new film features a fresh lineup of actors from the Kansai region, all taking on the roles of the famous Matsuno sextuplets:
- Seiya Suezawa (Ae! Group) as Osomatsu (red shirt)
- Yoshinori Masakado (Ae! Group) as Karamatsu (blue shirt)
- Masaya Sano (Ae! Group) as Choromatsu (green shirt)
- Ken Kojima (Ae! Group) as Ichimatsu (purple shirt)
- Keita Richard Kusama (Ae! Group) as Jushimatsu (yellow shirt)
- Takuya Nishimura (Kansai Jr.) as Todomatsu (pink shirt)
The first live-action film starred members of Snow Man, a popular idol group from Johnny & Associates (now Starto Entertainment). Kōji Mukai, who previously portrayed Osomatsu, has shared his support for the new cast.

About the Franchise
The Mr. Osomatsu anime is inspired by Fujio Akatsuka's Osomatsu-kun manga and "high tension comedy" anime series. The story centers on the mischievous Matsuno sextuplets and their adventures as adults, each vying for the affection of the same girl, Totoko. The original series depicted the boys at age 10, while Mr. Osomatsu presents them as adults.
