Music Awards Japan 2025: Full Winners and Highlights
The Japan Culture and Entertainment Industry Promotion Association (CEIPA) announced the winners of the inaugural Music Awards Japan during its Grand Ceremony on Thursday. This event aims to honor the top talents in Japan's music industry, as well as international artists from Asia.

- Artist Of The Year: Mrs. Green Apple
- Song Of The Year: "Bling-Bang-Bang-Born" by Creepy Nuts
- New Artist Of The Year: tuki.
- Album Of The Year: Love All Serve All by Kaze Fujii
- Top Global Hit From Japan: "Idol" by YOASOBI
- Best Song Asia: "Supernova" by aespa
- Best Idol Artist/Group: Snow Man
- Best Japanese Hip Hop/Rap Artist: Creepy Nuts
- Special Award: Song of the Year for Creators (powered by JASRAC): Ayase from YOASOBI for "Idol"
- Karaoke of the Year (J-Pop, powered by DAM & JOYSOUND): "Lilac" by Mrs. Green Apple
In addition, a special “MAJ Timeless Echo” award was presented to Eikichi Yazawa.
Notable Performances and Broadcasts
The ceremony featured energetic performances by YOASOBI, Creepy Nuts, Chanmina, Hikaru Utada, Kaze Fujii, and more. Fans worldwide could watch the event streaming live on YouTube, with a 30-minute delay, as well as on NHK.

Earlier in the week, the Premiere Ceremony announced winners in various categories, including:
- Best Anime Song: "Idol" by YOASOBI (from Oshi no Ko)
- Top Japanese Songs in Various Regions: "Bling-Bang-Bang-Born" by Creepy Nuts — winning in Europe, North America, and Latin America.
- Viral and Genre Awards: Several accolades for their influence and popularity.
About the Event
The Music Awards Japan serve to recognize outstanding musicians in Japan and across Asia, with over 60 categories covering areas like Vocaloid, anime, and idol culture.
The winners are chosen via an objective system that analyzes data from sources like Billboard Japan, Oricon, GfK/NIQ Japan, and Luminate. More than 5,000 music industry professionals from Japan and abroad participated in voting.
The CEIPA, a collaboration of five Japan-based music industry organizations, organized the event.
