Anime premieres on April 7
The eagerly anticipated anime based on the manga My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, created by Hideyuki Furuhashi and Betten Court, will debut on April 7. The official website kicked off the excitement by streaming character promotional videos for three main characters this past Wednesday.

Production Team
The anime is under the direction of Kenichi Suzuki, noted for his work in Cells at Work! and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Animation is provided by BONES FILM, a new branch of BONES studio. Yōsuke Kuroda, returning from the original series, will oversee and write the scripts, while Takahiko Yoshida is in charge of character design.

Storyline Overview
The My Hero Academia: Vigilantes manga is a spinoff set before the events of the main series. According to Viz Media, the story follows:
Koichi Haimawari couldn't make the cut to become an official hero, so he uses his modest Quirk to do good deeds in his spare time. Then one day a fateful encounter with some local thugs leads him to team up with two other unlikely heroes. None of them really know what they're doing, but they've got the courage—or foolishness—to try. But they soon discover fighting evil takes more than just being brave…
Manga Background
My Hero Academia: Vigilantes was launched in Shueisha's Shonen Jump GIGA magazine in August 2016 and later relaunched on Shonen Jump+ in December 2016. The digital English release by Viz Media began in August 2017. The manga concluded in May 2022 with a total of 15 volumes.
