Exciting New Anime Featuring Myaku Myaku Set to Air on NHK
8-episode series to debut from March 3-6
On Monday, NHK announced that the adorable mascot Myaku Myaku, associated with the upcoming World Expo 2025 in Osaka, will star in a new anime titled Ha-i! Myaku Myaku Desu (It's Me! Myaku Myaku). The show is set to premiere on March 3 at 11:45 p.m. JST, and will consist of eight episodes, each lasting just two minutes.

The series will air two episodes daily from March 3 to March 6.
Plot Overview
The show follows Myaku Myaku, a mysterious creature born 3.5 billion years ago, who ventures to a town seeking someone to talk to about existence and the future. There, Myaku Myaku encounters a lazy middle-aged man, and a unique bond forms as they begin living together. The man's perspective on various topics, such as the environment and food waste, begins to change through their interactions.

Production Team
The anime is directed by Masanori Numaguchi, known for Captain Bal, at Fanworks. The script is written by Toru Hosokawa, who has previously worked on Wasimo and Polar Bear's Café. The production is credited to the 2025 World Expo Organization.
