New Manga by Naru Narumi - 'Norainu to Tenshi-chan'

The June issue of Kodansha's Monthly Young Magazine announced an exciting new project from manga creator Naru Narumi. Titled Norainu to Tenshi-chan (Stray Dog and Angel), this new manga is set to launch in the magazine's next issue on June 20. The debut will feature a color opening page.

About the Manga

Norainu to Tenshi-chan follows Tōji, a 20-year-old man who becomes known after a certain incident. To keep a low profile, he takes on part-time jobs that require minimal interaction. During his work at a supermarket, he meets Sakuya, a girl with a remarkable ability called Super Eye, which grants her an exceptional memory.

Despite her talents, Sakuya struggles to fit in at school. The story explores how these two socially outcast individuals end up living together, sharing their struggles and forming a unique bond.

About Naru Narumi's Past Works

• Ms. Koizumi Loves Ramen Noodles (Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san) began serialization in 2013 in Manga Life Storia, published by Takeshobo. It later moved to Storia Dash website after the magazine ceased publication in 2019.

• The manga has been published in English by Dark Horse Comics and inspired various adaptations:

  • An anime series that premiered in January 2018, streamed by Crunchyroll.
  • A live-action TV series launched in 2015, with multiple specials and a second season airing in 2020.

• Another notable work includes Watari-kun's ****** Is about to Collapse, launched in 2014 in Kadokawa's Young Ace and concluded in September 2023. The manga's 16 volumes are published by Kodansha, with digital releases by Kodansha USA. An anime adaptation is scheduled to premiere in July 2025.
