Exciting News: 'New Saga' Gets an English Dub and Premiere Details
Crunchyroll has announced the cast and premiere date for the English dub of New Saga, the anime adaptation of Masayuki Abe's popular light novel series. Fans can look forward to the series debuting on Wednesday.

Jeremy Inman directs the dub, with Samantha Herek producing and Jessica Sluys handling the adaptation. The series' sound is managed by mixer Andrew Tipps and engineer Jamal Roberson.
Series Premiere and Production
The anime officially premiered on July 2 on the ABC channel. Originally scheduled for July 2023, the release was delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. Currently, Crunchyroll streams the series as it airs.
The new production team is led by director Naoki Mizusawa at Sotsu in collaboration with Studio Clutch and STUDIO MASSKET. This marks a change from the initial plans, with Naoki Horiuchi overseeing series production.
Creative Team and Series Details
Series scripts are handled by Kenta Ihara, known for works like Cautious Hero and Saga of Tanya the Evil. Original character designs are drafted by Nilitsu and Atsushi Asahi, with music composed by Shachō and Hironori Anazawa.
The Story
Set in a world ravaged by demons, the story follows Kyle, who defeats the demon king with his last strength. However, he is suddenly sent back four years into the past. Armed with memories from his previous life, Kyle aims to prevent the tragic events from repeating.
Origin and Manga Adaptation
Abe started serializing New Saga on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2012 before moving it to AlphaPolis in 2013. The story was removed from the website in 2016, and the first print volume was published in April 2013, with the 10th volume released in June 2018.
A manga adaptation by Jun Miura launched in 2014 and concluded in July 2023. The manga's 10th volume was published in October 2022. The series is also available in English through Alpha Manga, with the 11th and final volume announced.
