Nintendo Expands Its Footprint with New Stores and Attractions in Japan and the US
3rd Nintendo Store Opens in Kyoto in 2023
In a move to bring more gaming joy to fans, Nintendo has been steadily expanding its official retail presence. The latest addition is the third official Nintendo store in Japan, opening in Kyoto this October.
New Store Coming to Fukuoka
Nintendo announced that a new store will open at AMU Plaza Hakata City in Fukuoka at the end of this year. This will be the fourth Nintendo store in Japan. Details are still under wraps, but more information is expected soon.
Nintendo's Japanese Store Timeline:
- Tokyo: Opened November 2019 at Shibuya Parco
- Osaka: Opened November 2022 at Daimaru Umeda
- Kyoto: Opened October 2023 at Kyoto Takashiyama SC
- Fukuoka: Coming soon at AMU Plaza Hakata City
The stores feature a variety of products such as consoles, games, peripherals, and exclusive merchandise. They also host events and gaming experiences for fans.
U.S. Store Locations
Nintendo's official U.S. stores continue to grow. The first store is located in Rockefeller Center, New York. The second store opened in San Francisco's Union Square on May 15.

Nintendo at Universal Studios Hollywood
In February 2023, Nintendo launched Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood. Attractions include:
