Nintendo Reports Strong Year-End Results and Impressive Switch 2 Sales

Nintendo's Fiscal Year Highlights
Nintendo recently released its year-end financial results for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025. The company revealed some exciting figures, especially regarding the new Switch 2 system.
Switch 2: A Record-Breaking Launch
As of June 30, 2025, Switch 2 has sold 5.82 million units.
Including sales after June 30, the total surpasses 6 million units in just seven weeks.
The console sold over 3.5 million units worldwide in the first four days after its release on June 5, setting a new record for Nintendo hardware during its initial days.
Total Switch 2 software sales reached 8.67 million units.
The launch game, Mario Kart World, contributed 5.63 million units, including bundle packs.
Digital sales made up 59.3% of total software sales.
Overall Nintendo Console Sales
The Nintendo Switch family (including Lite and OLED) has sold 153.10 million units.
Total software sales for all Switch consoles are 1.415 billion units.
In the current fiscal year, Switch hardware sales are 0.98 million units, a 53.5% decline from last year.
Software sales for the year are 24.4 million units, down 20.4% year-over-year.

Future Outlook
Nintendo is optimistic about the upcoming year:
They forecast selling 15 million Switch 2 units in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026.
They expect to sell 4.5 million units in the next year.
