Nioh 3 Announced for PlayStation 5 and PC, Arriving in Early 2026

Two Distinct Gameplay Styles: Ninja and Samurai

Koei Tecmo America and Team Ninja have officially announced Nioh 3, the third installment in the renowned Nioh series. The reveal took place during Sony's State of Play livestream, exciting fans worldwide.

The game is scheduled for release on both PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam in early 2026.

What to Expect in Nioh 3

According to the developers:

Experience the rise of a heroic Shogun in Nioh 3, the latest entry in the dark samurai action RPG series. Fight using two distinct combat styles -- Samurai and Ninja -- as you battle against formidable yokai in an intense open field setting.

Players will have the opportunity to switch between Samurai and Ninja combat styles, facing off against fearsome yokai enemies in expansive battlegrounds.

A Look Back at the Nioh Franchise

The Nioh Collection: This bundle, including Nioh Remastered – The Complete Edition and Nioh 2 Remastered – The Complete Edition, launched for PS5 in February 2021.
Nioh 2: Released worldwide for PlayStation 4 in March 2020.
Original Nioh: Launched on PS4 in North America, Europe, and Japan in February 2017. The Complete Edition later arrived on PC in November 2017.
