The anime is set to debut on Fuji TV’s +Ultra programming block on July 2 at 23:45 (effectively July 3 at 12:45 a.m.).

Story Setting
The anime takes place in Denji Heian-kyō, an alternate version of the historical Heian-kyō (ancient Kyoto). The protagonist, Takeru Narehira, is a delinquent high school student from the modern world. After a mysterious accident, he is transported to Denji Heian-kyō, where he quickly meets Tsukimiya—the woman from his dreams. Their first encounter is interrupted by an oni monster, resulting in both of their deaths.
Takeru then discovers he has the power to travel back in time and becomes determined to master onmyōjutsu (mystical arts) as an onmyōji sorcerer, hoping to save Tsukimiya and unravel the secrets of this strange city.
Manga Adaptation
Fujiko Sakuno and Kyūjō Matsumoto launched the manga adaptation in Kodansha's Morning two magazine on February 6. The first collected volume is set to release on June 23.
