In September, Orange Inc., a pioneer in AI localization technology, unveiled a new app version of its popular emaqi e-bookstore service in the United States and Canada.

Extensive Library from Major Publishers
The app offers a wide selection of titles from well-known publishers such as:
- Viz Media
- Kodansha USA
- Yen Press
- Akita Shoten
- Futabasha
- Shonen Gahosha
- Nihon Bungeisha
- COAMIX
It also features exclusive titles like:
- Anjo the Mischievous Gal
- The Vampire Dies in No Time
- Liverleaf
By the end of 2025, the platform aims to expand its exclusive translated titles to 100 projects.
Launch Details and Content Highlights
Orange launched emaqi in North America on September 3, debuting with around 6,000 volumes from 13 publishers. The platform plans to release at least one new, previously untranslated manga each week.
The company has secured translation, publishing, and distribution rights from key publishers including Shonengahosha, Futabasha, Akita Publishing, and Kodansha USA.
Strategic Partnerships
In addition, emaqi is partnering with Shueisha to localize one-shot manga from Shonen Jump+. Both platforms are releasing these titles simultaneously in English.
Easy Access and Purchase Options
Readers can create a free account to explore content, which includes detailed synopses and sample chapters. Users can purchase individual manga volumes or subscribe to ongoing series directly through the app.
