Exciting News: Hiroshi Kamiya to Make His First Appearance Outside Japan at Otakon 2025

August 8-10, 2025, in Washington D.C., will be a historic event for anime fans as Hiroshi Kamiya, renowned voice actor, makes his first appearance outside Japan at Otakon.

Who Will Be Attending?

Otakon announced that they will host several notable voice actors and creators, including:

• Hiroshi Kamiya (Naito Mudano in Tougen Anki)
• Kōtarō Nishiyama (Jin Kougasaki in Tougen Anki)
• Voice actors from various anime such as My New Boss Is Goofy and My Happy Marriage
• Staff from the anime adaptation of Yura Urushibara's manga Tougen Anki: Dark Demon of Paradise

The event will also feature other prominent figures like Nobutoshi Canna, Ryōko Shiraishi, Ayana Taketatsu, and many more.

Highlights of Otakon 2025

• U.S. premiere of the first episode of This Monster Wants to Eat Me, based on Sai Naekawa's manga. Sai Naekawa, along with the manga editor Takumi Kamemaru and producer Ena Hamabe, will host a special talk about the manga and anime.
• The event will showcase a wide array of talent, including animation staff, manga artists, and industry professionals.
• Last year's Otakon set a record with 46,000 attendees, and expectations are high for this year's event.

Additional Guests and Features

The convention will also host guests like Shūichirō Umeda from The Summer Hikaru Died, and will feature panels, premieres, and exclusive content from various anime and manga projects.
