Otakon, one of the most anticipated anime and manga conventions, has revealed its guest lineup for this year's event, taking place from August 8-10 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

Voice Actors and Creators
Miyuri Shimabukuro: Renowned voice actress known for Carole & Tuesday. She is also an animation director.
Shinya Watada: Animation director famous for Mobile Suit Gundam AGE: Memory of Eden.
Hidetake Nishigaya: Producer involved in The Idaten Deities Know Only Peace and Mononogatari.
Sora Tokui: Versatile voice actress, manga artist, and VTuber. She voiced Nico Yazawa in Love Live! and launched the manga Makeruna!! Aku no Gundan! in 2013.
Shūichirō Umeda: Voice actor known for Too Many Losing Heroines! and My Hero Academia: Vigilantes. He voices Hikaru in The Summer Hikaru Died.
Directors and Producers
Hiroaki Sakurai: Director of Cyber Team in Akihabara: The Movie and UFO Baby. He will promote the upcoming anime The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess. Sakurai previously attended Otakon in 2000.
Kanako Ayano: Producer at FuRyu Pictures, known for Yuru Camp The Movie.
Special Announcements
The convention will host the U.S. premiere of the first episode of This Monster Wants to Eat Me, based on Sai Naekawa's manga. Creator Sai Naekawa, along with manga editor Takumi Kamemaru and producer Ena Hamabe, will be present for a talk.
Additional Highlights
The event will feature appearances by voice actors Nobutoshi Canna, Ryōko Shiraishi, Ayana Taketatsu, Kanna Nakamura, Taishi Murata, and Yūtarō Itō.
The creative team behind Too Many Losing Heroines! will also attend, including Katsuyuki Konishi and Studio Trigger staff members such as Hiroki Arai, Hiromi Wakabayashi, and Sushio.
Otakon 2025 is already scheduled for August 8-10, with more guest announcements including manga artists, illustrators, and industry professionals.

In 2024, Otakon set a new attendance record with 46,000 fans joining the celebration.
