New Anime 'Towa no Yugure' Announced by P.A. Works and MBS
P.A. Works and MBS revealed exciting news on Friday: they are producing a brand-new original TV anime series titled Towa no Yugure, set to premiere this October. The series will air on MBS and TBS's "Super Animeism Turbo" programming block.
Creative Team and Original Work
- The anime is based on the original work by Project FT.
- Naokatsu Tsuda, known for directing and overseeing scripts for series like JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and planetarian, is directing the anime at P.A. Works.
- Manga creator Midori Tayama (Girl Crush) is responsible for the original character designs.
- Yoshiko Saitō (Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible, Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation II) is adapting those designs for animation.

Plot Summary
The story follows Akira, a high school boy who falls into a deep sleep and wakes up 200 years later in a world ravaged by war. Society is now led by a unified organization called OWEL, and a new system called "Elsie" (or "LC") has replaced traditional marriage.
Upon awakening, Akira encounters an android named Yugure, who bears a striking resemblance to his girlfriend, Towasa. Yugure immediately proposes marriage to a confused Akira. Believing Towasa might still be alive in this new world, Akira decides to embark on a journey with Yugure.
