Bkub Okawa Announces New Update Schedule for Pop Team Epic Manga
A Shift in Release Dates
Manga creator Bkub Okawa revealed on Friday that he will change how often he updates his Pop Team Epic manga. Starting in June, new content will no longer be posted daily but instead will be released on the 15th of each month.
He expressed his apologies for not being able to explain the reason behind this switch.

About Pop Team Epic
Bkub Okawa launched the Pop Team Epic comedy manga on Takeshobo’s Manga Life Win website in 2014. The manga's journey has been quite eventful:
- First run: 2014–2015
- Season 2: Launched February 2016, ended April 2017
- Season 3: Started October 2017, ended January 2019
- Season 4: Also ended January 2019
- Season 5: Initially titled Poputan launched in October 2019, later revealed as Pop Team Epic
- Season 7: Published July 14, 2023
- Season 8: Started September 1, 2023, but went on hiatus in October due to health reasons
- Season 9: Launched April 1, 2025
The Anime Adaptation
The Pop Team Epic anime made its debut in January 2018. It was streamed globally through services likeHIDIVE, Funimation, Crunchyroll, AsianCrush, and Amazon Prime Video.
The series was popular enough to earn a second season, which premiered in October 2022, and continues to be a favorite among fans.
What's Next?
Most recently, Okawa launched a new manga titled Chinchilland in Kadokawa’s Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh on September 27.
