The Series in Development
Insiders from the Korean entertainment industry have confirmed that the webtoon A Bona Fide Killer, created by GUM and YOON, is being adapted into a live-action series. Casual viewers might be familiar with the webtoon, which has been serialized since 2022 on Kakao Webtoon.
Currently, the project is in the development stage, with casting offers extended to actors Hyo-jin Gong and Joon-won Jung for the lead roles.
The Storyline
The webtoon's plot is intense and thrilling:
Yu Bona is not your typical mom. After returning from maternity leave, she heads to a rooftop to carry out her first assignment—pointing a sniper rifle at a hotel room target. With a single shot, the legendary assassin "Kingfisher" makes a return.
As Bona undertakes more targets, her news reporter husband Taesung is tasked with investigating Kingfisher’s mysterious reappearance. As the bodies multiply, the line between Bona's personal and professional life begins to blur.
