Exciting News in the Anime World
On Tuesday, Wright Film announced that Matsuri Akai's light novel series, My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero's (Japanese title: Assassin de Aru Ore no Status ga Yūsha Yori mo Akiraka ni Tsuyoi Nodaga), will be getting a television anime adaptation set to premiere in October. A teaser trailer and visual were released along with information about the main staff and cast of the series.

Synopsis of the Series
Published by Seven Seas Entertainment, the light novel series follows:
Oda Akira is the kind of guy who people forget is even there. His unassuming nature pays off when his class is swept to a fantasy world, where he becomes a silent assassin. With mysterious stats and dangerous secrets, Akira must confront royal schemes and the very king who brought him here! With help from elven ally Amelia, can he find the strength to put things right?
Originally serialized on the website Shōsetsuka ni Narō in January 2017, the first volume was published in November 2017, with the fourth volume released in February 2021.
The manga adaptation began in July 2018, but was put on hiatus in 2020 due to creator Aigamo's health issues. The series resumed in 2022 following her recovery.
Seven Seas Entertainment also publishes the manga, with the latest volume set for release on February 25, 2024.
