Kadokawa Announces New Anime Adaptation for 'Reborn as a Space Mercenary'
Seven Seas Entertainment is set to make waves as it brings light novels and manga adaptations to English-speaking audiences. This comes hot on the heels of Kadokawa's announcement of an anime adaptation for the popular light novel series, Reborn as a Space Mercenary: I Woke Up Piloting the Strongest Starship! by Ryūto and Tetsuhiro Nabeshima.

What We Know So Far
While Kadokawa has not released extensive details about the anime adaptation, they expressed excitement about bringing the series to the screen. Seven Seas Entertainment is also continuing to expand its reach with the light novels and manga adaptations.

Series Background
- Serialization: The original story began on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in February 2019 and is ongoing.
- Print Volumes: The first printed volume was released in July 2019. Kadokawa recently released the 13th volume in September 2024, with the 14th scheduled for February 10.
- Manga Adaptation: Illustrated by Shinichi Matsui, the manga adaptation debuted on ComicWalker in November 2019, with the ninth volume published on January 23.
