Exciting News: 'Record of Ragnarok III' Coming to Netflix in December 2025
Anime fans, get ready! During the recent Anime Expo, Netflix and Warner Bros. Japan revealed an exciting trailer for the upcoming third season of Record of Ragnarok. Mark your calendars — this highly anticipated season is set to premiere in December 2025.
What to Expect from Season 3
The new season will feature 13 intense one-on-one battles where gods face off against humans in a fight for survival. Warner Bros. Japan describes it as:
"The saga continues with 13 battles for humanity's survival, pitting gods against humans from around the world. Witness the final fight to break the 3-3 tie between gods and humans. Blood flows and fists fly in these battles of conviction!"
This season promises more action, drama, and epic showdowns.
New Staff and Creative Team
Season 3 will feature a fresh team of creators:
- Director: Koichi Hatsumi (known for Tokyo Revengers)
- Studio: Yumeta Company × Maru Animation (with animation by Graphinica)
- Main Writer: Yasuyuki Mutō (also worked on Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway)
- Character Designers: Yōko Tanabe (Handyman Saitō in Another World) and Hisashi Kawashima (Pretty Rhythm Aurora Dream)
- Music: Yasuharu Takanashi returns to compose the soundtrack.

Background and Previous Seasons
- The first season debuted on Netflix in June 2021.
- The second season, Record of Ragnarok II, premiered its first part in January 2023 and the second part in July 2023.
