Hakuhodo DY Music & Pictures has unveiled the first teaser trailer for the upcoming TV anime Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchling, based on the popular light novel series written by Nekoko with illustrations by NAJI Yanagida. The series is set to premiere in 2026, and fans can get a first look at the key visual and the main staff involved.

Story Overview
In a world full of dangerous monsters, an unnamed protagonist is reborn at the very bottom—an immobile, powerless egg. To hatch, he must level up by fighting monsters—who would love to eat him! With the help of a mysterious voice in his head, he's determined to grow into the most powerful creature in the world.
Publishing & Manga
- English Release: Seven Seas Entertainment is releasing both the light novel series and RIO's manga adaptation.
- Story Serialization: Nekoko began serializing the story on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in August 2015, with the last update in November 2023.
- Print Publication: Earth Star Entertainment published 12 volumes starting in December 2015, with NAJI Yanagida's artwork. Square Enix now publishes volumes 13-16.
- Manga Adaptation: Launched by RIO in May 2017 on Comic Earth Star, with eight volumes published so far.
