James Carter Cathcart, known for his roles in the Pokémon franchise, had a remarkable career as a voice actor and script adaptor. Sadly, he was diagnosed with an advanced form of throat cancer earlier this year.
His wife, Martha Jacobi, announced his diagnosis in January 2023. Despite his health challenges, Cathcart continued to work until the end of the 25th Pokémon season, Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series, which aired in the United States later that year.
