New Voice Cast Announced for Ikura, Kaori, and Rika in Sazae-san
The official blog for the long-running anime Sazae-san announced new voice actors for three of its beloved characters. The changes took effect in the episode aired this past Sunday.
New Cast Members
As of the latest episode:
- Sachie Hirai voices Ikura, who is the son of Sazae's cousin Norisuke.
- Mana Koshirakawa is now voicing Kaori, a classmate of Sazae's younger brother, Katsuo.
- Sayaka Kitahara has taken over the role of Rika, known as the "girlfriend" of Sazae's son, Tarao.
All three characters were previously portrayed by Reiko Katsura.

The anime adaptation of Machiko Hasegawa's classic family manga Sazae-san has been airing since October 1969. The series is a staple in Japanese television and often ranks as the most-watched animated show in the country each week.
