Latest Shinobi Game Announced for Multiple Platforms

Sega has unveiled a new trailer for Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, the latest entry in its long-running Shinobi franchise. The game is scheduled to launch on August 29 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC via Steam.

About the Game

In a recent video, Sega introduces the story of Shinobi: Art of Vengeance. The game follows Joe Musashi, a master ninja and the series' protagonist. After returning home from an adventure, he finds his village destroyed and his clan turned to stone. Vowing revenge, Joe embarks on an epic journey battling enemies and formidable bosses across beautifully hand-drawn worlds.

"Shinobi: Art of Vengeance features multiple pathways, smooth gameplay, and reactive combat, promising hours of engaging ninja action. Players will be able to attack and react on the move, keeping the gameplay dynamic and exciting."

The game is being developed by the Paris-based studio Lizardcube.

A Brief History of Shinobi

Sega launched the original Shinobi arcade game in 1987, which quickly became a classic. The franchise's latest title before this was Shinobi 3D, released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2011.
