Exciting New RPG from Square Enix Set for 2026

Game from the creators of Bravely Default and Octopath Traveler is on the way!

Square Enix announced during the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase on Thursday that a brand-new action role-playing game, The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, will be released on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.

Demo and Player Feedback

A demo will be available starting Thursday, and developers are eager to gather player feedback through a survey after trying it out.

The Story

The game follows Elliot, an adventurer exploring the continent of Philabieldia, which is overrun by beast tribes. The only safe haven is the Kingdom of Huther, protected by a powerful spell. Elliot, along with his fairy companion Faie, sets out beyond the castle walls to investigate mysterious ruins.

Gameplay Features

• Elliot can wield seven different weapon types, including swords, bows, chains, and sickles.
• Faie can perform Fairy Actions to aid in battles.
• A second player can join in co-op mode to control Faie.

Stunning Graphics

The game showcases HD-2D graphics, a signature style of the creators behind Bravely Default and Octopath Traveler.
