'Summer Pockets' Anime: Staff, Visuals, and Premiere Details
The official website has revealed new details about the upcoming anime adaptation of Visual Arts/Key's beloved visual novel, Summer Pockets. The seventh promotional video was released on Monday, showcasing Umi Katō, voiced by Aimi Tanaka.

Broadcast Details
The anime premiered on Tokyo MX and BS11 on April 7, followed by broadcasts on MBS and Shizuoka Broadcasting System on April 8. It also aired on AT-X on April 10 and TV Setouchi on April 11.
Streaming and Future Releases
Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs in Japan. Additionally, a compilation film will be released in Japan on August 15.
About the Original Game
Summer Pockets originally launched for PC in June 2018 in Japan. It was later released on Nintendo Switch in June 2019, both digitally and physically. An updated version, Summer Pockets REFLECTION BLUE, came out for PC in June 2020 and has since been available on mobile devices, Switch, and PlayStation 4.
English Version
The game’s English version was released on Steam in February 2020, allowing a wider audience to experience this nostalgic story set in a rural island district during "one nostalgic summer."
Creative Team and Story
The project is credited to Jun Maeda (famous for Kanon, AIR, Clannad, Angel Beats!) for the original concept. The scenario was written by Yū Niijima, KAI, and Hasama. The music was composed by Maeda, with contributions from Shinji Orito, Donmaru, and Tomohiro Takeshita.
The character designs and illustrations were provided by Na-Ga, Nagayama, and others.
Manga and Spin-offs
A manga adaptation titled Summer Pockets -Natsu no Takaramono- began serialization on May 30 via Shueisha's Tonari no Young Jump website. A spin-off manga, Summer Pockets Mugyu Days Tsumugi no Shima Sanpo, launched in February through Kadokawa's Dengeki Moeoh magazine and website, with Yūnon Nagayama illustrating.
