NHK's All Super Sentai Grand Vote: The Results

On Saturday, the NHK BS channel announced the results of its Zen Super Sentai Dai Tōhyō (All Super Sentai Grand Vote), celebrating 50 years of the iconic live-action franchise. The poll covered three categories:

• Sentai Series (out of 50)
• Sentai Hero (out of 300)
• Sentai Robot (out of 160)

The Top Winners

• Best Sentai Series: Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger (2011)
• Best Sentai Hero: Shinken Red/Takeru Shiba (Torio Matsuzaka) from Samurai Sentai Shinkenger (2009)
• Best Sentai Robot: Don Onitaijin from Avataro Sentai Donbrothers (2022)

About the Poll

NHK held this fan vote as part of its popular Zen Maru Maru Dai Tōhyō television specials. The vote returned to Super Sentai after three years, in honor of the franchise's 50th anniversary. Fans cast votes for their favorite series, hero, and robot between April 5 and May 6.

The Zen Super Sentai Dai Tōhyō program aired on NHK BS on May 17. The special is available for streaming on NHK+ for one week (NHK license fee required).
