Tamagotchi! Plaza Launches for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on June 26

Bandai Namco Entertainment recently released a new trailer revealing the upcoming release of Tamagotchi! Plaza for Nintendo Switch. The game will launch in Japan on June 26 and globally on June 27.

Exciting New Features on Switch 2

The Switch 2 edition of Tamagotchi! Plaza will include three new shops featuring mouse controls:

• Sushi Shop
• Shuriken Shop
• Sushi Shuriken Shop

This brings the total number of shops in the game to 15. Players who purchase the Switch version can upgrade to the Switch 2 version later by buying an upgrade pack, unlocking the three additional shops.

Historic Recognition

In other related news, Tamagotchi! (originally released in 1996) was inducted into the World Video Game Hall of Fame by the Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, New York. This accolade recognizes its lasting impact on gaming history.
