Musician Tetsuya Komuro to Make Cameo in "Ya Boy Kongming! the Movie"
The official website for Ya Boy Kongming! the Movie — the live-action film adaptation of Yuto Yotsuba and Ryō Ogawa's popular manga Ya Boy Kongming! (also known as Paripi Kōmei) — announced on Thursday that renowned musician and composer Tetsuya Komuro will appear in the film as himself.

Film Opening and Story Setting
Ya Boy Kongming! the Movie is set to open this Friday. The story takes place during the Music Battle Awards 2025, a fierce music festival where Japan’s top three major record labels compete for supremacy. Komuro appears as a VIP guest invited to this festival.

Music Highlights
- Mia Iriomote, played by Koharu Sugawara, performs the insert song "New Zone," composed by Zo Zhit from Dos Monos hip-hop group.
- Lilas Ikuta (known as ikura), vocalist for the YOASOBI duo, returns to compose the film’s ending theme "Sing along!!!" This marks her second contribution to the franchise, following the insert song "DREAMER" from the live-action series.

- The anime compilation film Paripi Kōmei Road to Summer Sonia screened in Japanese theaters in March 2024.

- The manga began serialization on Kodansha's Comic Days website in December 2019 and in Weekly Young Magazine in November 2021.
