New Anime Film 'The Last Blossom' Set to Premiere in Japan on October 10
Wright Film has unveiled exciting details about the upcoming anime movie The Last Blossom, directed by Baku Kinoshita and written by Kadzuya Konomoto. The film is scheduled to premiere in Japan on October 10.
Main Visual, Cast, and Trailer
The studio revealed the main visual, along with the additional cast, staff, and the main trailer during the recent Anime Expo event. The trailer, which also features the opening theme song "Moving Still Life" by the band cero, was first showcased at the event.

Plot Summary
Autumn 2023: Elderly inmate Akutsu, serving a life sentence, reflects on his past as a talking Housenka flower comments on his life.
Summer 1986: Young Akutsu lives with Nana and her son Kensuke in a modest apartment, surrounded by Housenka flowers. The story narrates a rare victory for a dying yakuza and his family's tale, told through the flower that blooms in prison.
Creative Team and Collaborations
Kinoshita and Konomoto previously worked together on the ODDTAXI anime in 2021. The film's concept art was created by Michinoku-Toge, with music composed by cero.
