Crunchyroll announced the cast for the English dub of The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 4 this Wednesday, and confirmed that the dub will be available on the same day as the season's premiere.

Production Team
The dub is directed by Courtney Sanford, produced by Eric P. Sherman, with scripts written by Henry Mason. The music is composed by Kevin Penkin, returning from previous seasons.
Season Premiere and Streaming
The new season premiered on July 9 on multiple channels including AT-X, TOKYO MX, Sun Television, KBS, TV Aichi, Lemino, and d Anime Store. It also debuted on BS NTV at 25:00 (early July 10).
Behind the Scenes
Hitoshi Haga returns to direct the season at Kinema Citrus, with Keigo Koyanagi overseeing the scripts. Character designers include Franziska van Wulfen, Sana Komatsu, and Masahiro Suwa. Takanori Yamamoto, previously an episode director, now serves as assistant director.
Series Background
The Rising of the Shield Hero first premiered as a two-hour special in January 2019, followed by 25 episodes. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan. The second season debuted in April 2022, and the third season, with 12 episodes, premiered in October 2023.
Manga and Novel Releases
One Peace Books is releasing the original light novel series by Yusagi Aneko and the manga adaptation by Aiya Kyu in English. The story follows Naofumi Iwatani, an unremarkable otaku who is suddenly summoned to a parallel universe. There, he is one of four heroes tasked with saving the world, but as the weakest, he faces betrayal and loneliness, relying only on his shield to rise and fulfill his destiny.
